There is NO "National Flower" for India

If you think Lotus is national flower of India then you are wrong.

The Minister of State for Home, Nityanand Rai today in Rajya Sabha informed the house that there is no national flower for India. He was replying to the unstarred question asked by BJD(Biju Janta Dal) MP Prasanna Acharya.

Question No 1942: Will the Minister of HOME AFFAIRS be pleased to state: (a) which is National animal, National bird and National flower of India; (b) whether there is any notification by Government or any other competent authorities in this regard; and (c) if so, the details of the notification, if not, under what provision, UGC, NCERT and Government of India portal are publishing the names of National animal, National bird and National flower?

In response to this question, Minister said government has not given the status of 'national flower' to any flower. He further said Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) has notified ‘Tiger’ and ‘Peacock’ as the ‘national animal’ and ‘national bird’ respectively, through notifications issued in 2011. “However, no such notification has been issued regarding ‘national flower’ by MoEF&CC,” he said in a written reply to a question.
