  Ministry of Commerce & Industry released the performance of eight core industries (Coal, Crude Oil, Natural Gas, Refinery Products, Fertilizers, Steel, Cement & Electricity) which  comprise 40.27 per cent of the weight of items included in the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) . The growth rate of Index of Eight Core Industries for September 2020  declined by   0.8 %   (provisional) compared to index of September 2019. Its cumulative growth during the months of April-September, 2020-21 was  -14.9%. Coal -  Coal production increased by 21.2 per cent in September, 2020 over September, 2019. Its cumulative index declined by 6.1 per cent during April to September, 2020-21 over corresponding period of the previous year. Ministry of Finance has released the data of gross GST revenue collection for the month of October on 1st November.  The gross GST revenue collected in the month of Octo ber , 2020 is  ₹ 1,05,155  crore  of which CGST is  ₹ 19,193  crore , SGST is  ₹ 25,411  crore , IGST is  ₹ 52,540  crore  (including  ₹ 23,375  crore  collected on import of goods) and Cess is  ₹8,011 crore  (including  ₹ 932  crore  collected on import of goods). The total number of GSTR-3B Returns filed for the month of October upto 31 st October, 2020 is 80 lakh . The government has settled  ₹ 25,091 crore  to CGST and  ₹ 19,427 crore  to SGST from IGST as regular settlement.The total revenue earned by Central Government and the State Governments after regular settlement in the month of October, 2020 is  ₹ 44,285 crore  for CGST and  ₹ 40,839 crore  for the SGST.
